As Alumni of the Pipe Band or the College you no doubt remember the experiences of playing with the band and the friendships you developed.  You remember that chilly May morning when the sound of pipes and drums filled the campus for the Macalester Scottish Fair or maybe the sound of a solo piper at dawn or at dusk.  Maybe it was the band trips to Chicago, Alma, & Ontario or that soul stirring commencement ceremony sending you off into the real world.

Whatever your recollection of the band, we want to hear from you.  While we have direct sponsorship from the College there are costs that cannot be made up by the College and/or concerts alone.  As prize money and participation stipends decline; uniforms, equipment, travel and maintenance costs are always at a premium.  So, if you feel that the Macalester College Pipe Band was an important part of your "Mac" experience please consider becoming a Friend of the Band.

Like a Booster Club, the Friend of the Band program allows you contribute to your Alma Matter with your contributions going directly to the band.  If you would like to become a Friend of the Band, please contact PM Mike Breidenbach.

Lastly, if you have photos from your involvement with the Pipe Band or would like to reconnect with your old band mates, please attach them in an email to our website administrator.  We will post your pictures in the Alumni photo album and do our best to reconnect you with former band mates.
